I attempted to make bread last night and did the first prove then left in the fridge overnight. However I overslept this morning and didn't have time this morning to cook the dough.. will it be ruined being in the fridge all night and day or will it be OK to cook after work?!!!:confused:

Thanks in advance for helping!!

could be worse you could have forgotten to add the yeast like me. 3 hours in the breadmaker and what came out, I could have knocked someone out with LOL.

I normally prove mine overnight in the fridge for 24 hours. Not sure if that helps ? I would say it will be fine. x

  • It will be fine - and you will probably find that the flavour is much better check out the artisan bread thread the dough for that is kept in the fridge for up to a week
