Vibro-Plates!!! Anyone??

Options
Hi

Just wondered has anyone tried out the vibro plates? If so what did you think of them. Did they help you tone up? Where is the cheapest place to use them? Heard there is somewhere in Belfast that gives you unlimited usage for a monthly fee.

    Hi

I have used power plates in the past. I paid £50 a month for the use of the machine. It was good because it was only a small place with three machines, so sometimes I got one to one training. I went down a dress size in about two months, and lost a couple of inches off my waist and hips. My arms and legs also became toned and my cellulite on bum and backs of legs was vastly reduced. Therefore I would recommend using the machine - although I cannot help you with ones in your area as I live in Sussex.

Ladies Workout Express in Bruce Street in Belfast has them. Not sure how much it costs but pretty sure it's a lot less than £50. I think membership starts around £15/month.

There's a studio downstairs from my office! (Longstone Street, Lisburn, corner of Theipval Road) and when it first opened we all joined!! You can pay for a booklet in advance - the more you buy the cheaper it is - or you can pay as you go per session (about £4 per session I think). She normally does cheap deals coming up to Christmas and again in the new year. They do work in terms of toning up and general fitness but are not any kind of miracle machines for losing substantial weight.

The Tone Room on the Beersbridge Rd. Costs around £30 per month for unlimited use also they offer various packages and add-ons if you want to pay for them. They have 6 machines and you often have one to one training from staff depending on how busy it is. They do plate-aerobic classes too a couple of evenings per week. They keep a recoard of everything you do so that you get a good mix of workouts for all your muscles as well as cardio work.

I went for a couple of months earlier this year whne I started to get serious about losing weight. I then bought a machine for home use when work hours made it difficult to go regularly to the Tone Room. It's now an integral part of my fitness regime and I've lost over 4 stones this year...not all down to the vibration training, of course, but it has helped a lot.
