I applied for a Halifax Cardcash account about 7 months ago. I recently got a copy of my credit file and noticed that Halifax had done 3 searches on my file within a week?

Would there be any reason for this? Once, I can understand, but three times?

How will this affect my credit rating?

My wife and I both opened a regular saver account.
The Halifax did a "money laundering" search on each of us. we were clean.

I don't think the searches show up on inquiries by credit organisations performing a credit check. I.e. its only made available to the individual concerned.
