You can make a small promise like turning off the tap when you brush your teeth or using a ‘bag for life’, or you could go further and promise to organise a green project in your community, or to offset your carbon emissions when you take a flight.
Promise to do your bit and you can come back and see how much you’ve achieved. Recruit your friends to make a promise too, and between everyone, you can make a difference.

You are all living in cloud cuckoo land.
Until the likes of the USA,and emerging economies like India and China agree to reduce their Carbon emmissions, anything we do in this country will make NO difference to global warming and environmental problems of the planet.
A good start could be a global agreement to tax aviation fuel, won't happen of course as there are too many vested interests! That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I firmly believe that every little helps and is worth doing. I agree that there are huge global issues in particular with the USA and emerging economies but there is a limit to what I can do for that and I don't think it will help to always blame someone or something else.0

The whole point is that little things can make a difference if enough people do them! If everybody stopped running their taps when cleaning their teeth - that would make a difference. If everybody recycled an extra 10% of their waste - then that would make a difference.
Yes, there does need to be changes on a much wider scale as well, but that's a pretty poor excuse for not doing our bit as individuals, however small that bit may be.0
