Hi everyone,
Here were my goals from last week:-
*Have an extremely productive Sunday - Part achieved, had a busy day
- go to farm shop (now! Go and get dressed!) - Yes, went on my bike - 4 miles there and back!
- tidy and clean house - Kind of
- go to watch OH play acoustic session at Borders books - Yes, but that wasn't really a trial!
- go to Asda (keep eye out for cheap clothes - in budget) - No, we were in the car park having a horrible argument in the car and then decided just to go home
- spend time in the garden doing some weeding - Yes, but did it one evening instead. Mum said garden was looking weed free!
- finish 'filler' in eBay order and leave to dry Didn't do on Sunday, but completed this week - was a horrible job and so time consuming. I have to think about whether this is really worth the money/time
- pack up more sold eBay stuff from finished auctions - Yes, I must have done this as no angry emails!
- finish design of invite and include info inc. map No, I did my design, but didn't like it when scanned into the computer. Thinking about saying to OH, that we just send a round robin email as we've so much info to put in - with map/directions etc.
*5 no spend days (not including food from joint account or any bills - just personal 'me' spends - no choccie/magazines/pointless cr*p!) - No, yet again - failed on this one.
*Distribute barbecue invite via email (wanna come? ) - No, for reasons as above
*Go to library and pay fines - Yes!
*Post this big eBay order - I'm nearly finished it! And have a couple of days rest. Start next order, next week. - YES! (See above...) Think will have a week off to recharge batteries before starting next order
*List 5 things onto turbolister - try and wait for a cheap listings day - Yes, but I didn't wait for a cheap listings day. I listed 4 and relisted 1
*Clean and tidy house for Friday night when folks arrive - Yes, its very untidy and unclean again but was lovely when they arrived - AND OH HELPED!
Here are my goals for this week:-
*4 no spend days
*Send party invite in some shape or form
*Sort out finances
*Restart spending diary
*No eBay apart from things finishing - not sure if its costing me more money than I'm making
*Take cats to vets
*Phone up re. free compost bin and kitchen compactor from Council
*Think about car boot sale stuff - been to two car boot sales and made next to nothing after costs. Should I just charity shop the stuff or try once more?
*Phone up re. part time job in tearoom
Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone & good luck with your goals :T
here's mine for the week
1. Start spending diary again (always forget to fill it in on school holidays)
2. Hopefully start online course, just waiting to be assigned a tutor then will be able to get going, need to put in extra hours on this before school summer holidays
3. Doing a house move for friends with dh on Saturday & getting paid £100, goal is to not break anything!
4. Not spend more than £50 from the house move on shopping at Makro on Sunday, going there to stock up on washing powder, tea etc whilst we have the transport.
5. Do a mini storecupboard challenge for the next 2 weeks as ds3 has to take £60 into school at the end of the month, French trip installment.
6. Have lots of no spend days
7. Hopefully celebrate DS2 getting a permanent job at the place he's working at now but through an agency
8. Do lots of cooking to fill up freezer
9. Fill in form for dS3's forthcoming statement renewal meeting
10. And try to get out & weed the garden!
Have a good week everyone0 -
Great! More forum motivation...
1. Do final switch over of mobile phone contract now I have found my SIM (long story...!) Argh! Delayed until Friday. Will not rant. Will grind teeth quietly instead. And make Vodaphone voodoo doll.
2. Complete all bank paperwork so my DDs can get switched over. Done
3. Pull out info for increasing my 0% bank overdraft. Done (thanx to MSE, I managed to have one month without going over my limit, which was a requirement for the overdraft matching service)
4. Have one spend free day. Done
5. Complete meal plan.
6. Use at least one storecupboard ingredient in every meal (flavourings not included).
7. Send off bank charges letter. Done (slightly scared, but glad I've done it)
Good luck all!0
