    I have no advice.

I start with a two week trial tomorrow. So I have huge butterfiles in my belly today.

I have not had a job for years. I left a very good job 3 years ago and have done 3 months since and jacked it in because I just could not cope.

So I am the last person to ask. The only thing I can think to say that is a learning curve and I was told if you don't know ask. I always worry it will make me look stupid. But if you don't know you don't know.

    All the best.

The very best of luck to both of you.

Chamomile tea always calms my nerves in times of stress but not to everyone's taste.

Please come back tomorrow and let us know how it went.

The only thing I'd advise is give yourself plenty of time for everything in the morning. Getting up, having breakfast and getting to work. If your nerves are playing up it can help if you know you've got time to go to the loo (again) before the next stage.
I've also found it helpful to have a checklist ready so you can make sure you've everything you need with you before you leave home.

    Good Luck :)

    Thanks guys.

At least one thing I don't have to drive my husband is in between jobs. So he is going to take me.

So one last thing to worry about.

Good luck to the new starters.

Think about taking a small notebook to work. Make notes to refer to, so you're not under pressure to remember things. Look on your notebook as a security blanket, it's there if you need it.........but I'm sure you'll be fine.

Try to have a filling breakfast before you leave home. Breakfast helps your brain function and will help you to stay alert etc.

Good luck today I'll be thinking of you. Let us know how you got on. I'm sure once you get there it will all be fine. It's not easy to not know where everything is or anyones names let alone getting to grips with the job itself! Give yourself a chance to get used to it.

I tried to post this last night but I had trouble logging on.

I've got a job interview today so I'm suffering from nerves too! I've got to go to my normal work at 4pm for my shift, so it's going to be a long day. The new job is for longer and more sensible hours, and hopefully a bit more money.

Well I managed to survive the day. But my hours have already been moved up. And sounds pathetic but feel shattered.

Just a bit worried about making a total mess up. And already have lack of confidence but that is long term thing to be sorted out.

But it is only for two weeks so I can always bail out if need to. Or if they can't stand me they can get rid of me :D
