Gift Letter -Mortgage - Credit Cards

Everything accepted with A.N. except they need to see my credit cards reduced. I have a friend who is gifting me a fairly large amount - but is a gift - she is rich and knows the problems I have. I have read they only accept gifts from relatives - this is worrying me - sat on the edge of my seat for three weeks already I need some peace - if anyone has any info please help.
