You can adopt all sorts of animals through `Born Free`. Adopted an Orca for my daughter last year.

Drayton Manor Park have advertised in the local press that you can now adopt a meerkat from them.

A donation of £35 gets you - 2 complimentary tickets to the park, a personalised certificate of adoption and a profile about your adopted animal.

A donation of £75 gets you - 3 complimentary tickets to the park, your name displayed on the zoo's wall of adoption, personalised certificate of adoption and animals profile.

Meercats are so cute, there are some that live at Port Lympne ( Aspinall Foundation) in Kent.

If anyone goes for the one at Drayton Manor this will work out considerably cheeper than standard day entry fees and you are also getting the Meerkat adoption too. Normal day tarrifs are £25 per person(2009 season so due to go up next year by a couple of quid).
