Tesco Gift Voucher

I wonder if anybody has seen the £10 gift vouchers hanging up around the store. A bit like a plastic card. Has anybody bought or used one?? It says you can use them online too. It also says that they need to be activated first.

Anybody know anything about them. Could I get clubcard points first by buying one and then more when I use it.

Any Tesco staff know anthing about them. How are they activated??

Regards
Stebiz

I have had one as payment from a survey site.

They are blank cards and when you pay at the till that "activates" them and loads the money on to the card.

You get CC points spending the gift card but AFAIK they are exempt from CC points when buying them.

We had a £20 one ant they worked like any other voucher scanning through. The best bit was that youn didn't have to spend it all at once.

Thanks for that. Really appreciate it. I like the idea of using it as a prepaid card.

I`ve bought them to push my total spend to use a coupon e.g sainsburys £10 off £50 spend my tesco will only let me use if I spend £50 so if i only want say £41 shopping I`ll pop a £10 gift card in my trolley as well.
My tesco take 25% off in coupons so I get £2.50 off when I buy the card and another £2.50 off when I spend it! ... hope that makes sense.

I`ve also found that they`ll take these gift cards at the tobacco counter but won`t take money off coupons there so if I`ve used coupons as part payment initially I`ve actually got cut price cigs!

Martin highlighted the best prepaid tesco card recently, hopefully I've posted the correct link here:
