Well today have filled out the forms for the broker. It been agreed in principle they have asked for prior years p60s which show overtime/income from second job is consistent. Last 3 months wage slips for hubby and 1 month for me plus also 1 months bank statement showing payments going in. Still being referred to underwriters but I guess the fact they have asked to look at the prior year p60s means they are willing to take into account overtime/2nd job unlike Abbey.

If all goes through it will save us £240 a month some of which we plan to use to overpay the mortgage - not to mention finish our house off and take 14 months off the mortgage term too.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed as Abbey initially agreed in principle then turned us down. It would be so much easier if they made their online mortgage calculators more accurate as initially Abbeys one showed they would lend us about £40k more than we are asking for.
