How do I remove a 'Alert' ? ? ?

I bought some batteries of eBay, BIN, and after it confirmed everything a messege from Firefox (my browser) came up stating that someone may have tried to access the page I was on. Something along the lines of mismatch data.

As a precuation I changed my password immedietly but after I signed in there was an alert saying 'password changed.......etc etc', I don't like that alert sign on the top of the page. Does it go away? When will it go? Or do I have to do it manually?

I know, bizaar!!!

Thanks,

-MoE-

Perhaps you need to click on the alert and acknowledge it, maybe there will then be an option to delete it.

for the password change, it takes a while (like a week) to go away, or before you can delete it

if you go into "my messages" it will be a sticky at the top, and i think there it will say when it experies, or can be deleted after"

anoying i know, but i suppose they have their reasons to do it

Hi. the reason that it is there is to alert you that the password has been changed. You would also get this message if you changed your email address too. The reason it sits there is so if you didn't change your account details you would imediatley be alerted to the fact that it had changed.

It is not deletable because if a phisher was able to scam your account they could then delete the warning.

I changed my password and email address and have got two alerts for 30 days lol

Oh ok. I can understand why it's there now. Mine will expire in 10 days, well that's what is says!

    Thanks.

It is actually 10 days, if you read the alert just below 'change password confimation' title it gives you the date of when it will be removed by Ebay. You cannot change/delete it.
