Mr_P, the way you unneccessarily said "sales calls" in your last post makes me suspicious, especially as the "P" in your username could be for PEN! ;)

You really made me laugh. Thanks..neede cheering up with these dark nights:rotfl:

I have just returned and seen all the 'bullets' and the good points.

To the OP, i meant no harm. As you are aware there are loads of spammers here who try all kinds of tactics hence my suspicion.

I apologise to OP for any harm caused but i feel sad that a particular poster has to resort to unnecessary childish abuse over my comment - Perhaps a function of their mindset.

No need to worry or banter. Let's get on with task ahead i.e. help each other save and make money.

    All is well.
  • Are these pens a well known good quality? I want to buy something for my Dad (who has everything and is quite well off too) so would it be ideal for him??

    Cheers

They're America's answer to Parker pens :rotfl:

Parker Pens are owned by an American company Newell Rubbermaid, who own lots of pen brands such as Parker, Papermate, Rotring, Waterman, Berol,Sharpie,Quill.....

Anyway, my two Sheaffer packs turned up in the post this morning (that was quick!!). I did get my order in at about 6.00am yesterday, as they were 'up' a few hours before the deal officially started.

Nice quality, heavy and well balanced pen and pencil. Will make good gifts for the 'olds' they were intended for.

Made in China, but isn't everything!!

Well worth the £11.99, considereing that included postage and packing.
    British Ex-pat in British Columbia!
  • Ordered at approx midday yesterday and just arrived.

Great xmas pressies, just gutted as the Wife bought me one last xmas
(full chrome, but same model) for £40.

Personally, i use mine all the time and love it.

    Thanks OP.

A management buyout in 1987 moved the company headquarters to Newhaven, East Sussex, England which was the original location of the Valentine Pen Company previously acquired by Parker.
Looks like I'm about 20 years out of date! :rotfl:
In 1993 Parker was acquired by the Gillette Company, which already owned the PaperMate brand, one of the best-selling disposable ballpoints. Gillette sold the writing instruments division in 2000 to Newell Rubbermaid, whose own Stationery Division, Sanford, became the largest in the world owning such brand names as Rotring, Sharpie, Reynolds as well as Parker, PaperMate, Waterman and Liquid Paper.
although the UK facility was only shut this year, according to Wikipedia
In July of 2009 the 180 workers at Parker Newhaven, UK, got notice that the factory was to be shut down and the production moved to France.

What makes you feel it is deal of day? Are you connected to this ebay shop in anyway?
It smells as if you are promoting this shop

This gets my vote for muppet post of the day, if your going to accuse someone of something at least try and understand what you are talking about first :rotfl:
