By having my lightbulb  moment last month, two credit cards arrived this morning Amex red and IF which will both let me transfer my balances at a rate of 5.9% lob and 4.95% lob. Luckily I have been given enough credit limit to transfer all of my previous cards across.
My previous cards were 14.9% apr and 13.1% apr  by snowballing I worked out that I will save £1013.00 in interest!
I'm very happy today and so glad i found this board. Can't believe how much i was giving to Barclaycard and Mint before!

Please remember that your new credit cards are still credit cards with low interest rates, not some magical helpful tool that's giving you free money. Credit is still debt, but your cards are just the lesser of 2 evils. When you've use and abused them, destroy them to make sure you never fall back in to that debt trap again.
Good luck!0
