I see that bungalow in Barnsley with the ASG panels hasn't sold yet. Price reduced from £204,500 to £199,500 to £189,950. Still claiming "projected energy savings of approximately £400 per annum".

Anyone familiar with the Barnsley property market ???

I am surprised that the Estate Agents haven't appreciated that they are committing an criminal offence(repeat criminal) under the Property Misdescriptions Act.

Looking at your earlier thread on this it seems that this is 6kWp over three properties, these being yours, FIL's & SIL's for a single arrangement fee payment of £500 .... is this still the case ??
Anyway, you'll find two opposing houses in this debate, but what would need to be considered is the effect of selling one or more of the three properties within the term of the 25 year lease, balanced against a potential electricity saving of somewhere around £300/year across the three properties ... and then balance this to a potential £2500(ish)/year return on investing in the panels yourself. Approaching some installers regarding a three system install could result in a very attractive price per Wp.

But didn't the ASG woman come on here and claim that the panels would make a property more attractive to buyers?
Maybe the vendors of this bungalow have swallowed that line, and are pricing themselves out of the market because of it.0 -

Hi, the 6Kwh system would just be on my house, then another 6Kwh on FIL roof and 3.5Kwh on sister in laws house.
We cant afford to buy the panels ourselves, FIL can afford to buy them but he will never make his money back - his words due to his age.
It would be £500 per house.
Would it be safe to pay on credit card? and if they did a bunk with the money my FIL could get the money from the CC company?
2 of the houses are agricultural so the leases wont make a difference and the other one FIL only is only worth about 90k so he aint bothered about that one, only cost him 3k to begin with.Is a Bipolar bear0 -

Have you had a quote from any installers for purchased systems ?? ..... with that kind of installation you should seriously look at this as an option ... 15.5kWp over three installs in one contract will attract quite a good price and the FiTs will provide a decent payback ....
I don't really understand how a house with a roof large enough to fit 6kWp of panels on a south facing plane (Approx 50+sqm), and of sound enough construction to tempt a 'rent-a-roof' company to be interested, would only be worth £90k anywhere in the country .... are you sure that 6kWp is correct ??
