Buying from Tesco online

Hi,
I would like to pre-order all my Christmas groceries online and get them delivered as I have a serious lack of tolerance in shops in the days before Santa comes. My local Mr T is just 6 miles away so I've never done this before and was wondering if someone would be able to answer a couple of questions for me?

- What are the chances of seasonal items being unavailable, for example Christmas hams or cranberries etc?
- Can I keep adding to my order after booking the slot?
- When do the Christmas delivery slots become available?
- Do BOGOF items change on a certain day of the week so I don't look the next day and find out I've missed out on something?
- Can I use my Tesco clubcard vouchers for online shopping?

- Can I keep adding to my order after booking the slot? yes, normally until 10pm the day before delivery. It will say on the confirmation the last time for amending order.
- When do the Christmas delivery slots become available? don't know, I booked my waitrose slot about a month ago. All slots will go soon after release obviously.
- Do BOGOF items change on a certain day of the week so I don't look the next day and find out I've missed out on something? Yes, if you order special offers which will expire before your delivery, a pop-up box will tell you that when you add the item to your order. There are key dates for changeover, normally on a Wed, so you would need to keep checking for new ones.
- Can I use my Tesco clubcard vouchers for online shopping? Yes, I think so, there is abox for promo codes at checkout.

I'm not bothering with Mr T this Christmas, it's good old Waitrose delivery for me.

That's what's bothering me to be honest - imagine no real cranberry sauce:eek:
I might just order heavy stuff - beer, coke etc and have a very early trip to Mr T as I'm off work Christmas week anyway:j0 -

*MOAN ALERT*
I would normally buy now and freeze, however my fridge/freezer stopped working in March and Indesit still haven'tmanaged to fix it:mad::mad::mad:. I only have a little 'under the counter' type fridge that I managed to pinch of my MIL.
Oh well, I can always buy a jar
of cranberry sauce:eek:
Bet your house smells all Christmassie now with the smell of warm cranberries, mmmmmm.0 -
In my experience - if you pay the max for a delivery first thing on Saturday morning you get as close to everyting you order. Other times I always get things missing. The drivers say its because they spend all Fri night stocking up for the big Sat shop - but your 'picker' gets in first!0

I do lots of Tesco online shopping and have only been dissapointed a couple of times and they do their very best to offer substitutes! . At xmas I usualy go to the store for those ''special'' bits and bobs.... its handy having the heavy and bulky stuff delivered though, drinks tins etc.............Powered by Fairy Dust & Glitter.............0
