CCJ Advice

I'm looking for some advise on CCJs that I have received over the last few very silly years. Each CCJ has been for a parking fine, although I'm not entirely sure how many I received.
I paid an £8 fee to check the Register of Judgments, but this reported "Nothing Registered". I would have thought it would have registered something even to state whether CCJs were satisfied or not? The website was trustonline.org.uk, I thought this was a genuine website but now wonder if I have been duped?
The parking fines were referred to the court by the council, and then the matter was referred to a bailiff to recover the money from me. The bailiff was very helpful and allowed me to set up a payment plan, and all have subsequently been paid, I finally achieved this in August this year (2009). I thought that would be the end of the matter, nothing more I could do except wait for them to come off in 6 years.
In an idiotic and very naive attempt to try and deny what was happening to me, I ignored all correspondence that was sent to me from both the council and court. These were back in the years when I was young, unwise to the world, and immature, I thought these things would simply "go away". I also haven't kept the payment receipts the bailiff sent me, again, in a moment of stupidity I thought I wouldn't need them again. I therefore have no idea how many CCJs I received, or have any proof of settlement. I have learned my lesson!
I've recently been told that what I should have done, was taken the receipts straight down to the court and obtained satisfaction certificates, and it would go on my credit file that they had been satisfied, or set aside. I didn't know this, so I've spent the last few years in ignorance thinking that they would remain on my credit file for 6 years from the date of satisfaction, I also thought that once I made the payment, the bailiff would report that I'd made my payment, therefore the creditor would register the CCJ satisfied automatically. More fool me.
I need to know if there is anything I can do now, with no receipts, no claim numbers or references. Is there anywhere I can obtain a list of each CCJ, and find out whether they have been registered as satisfied or not?
I dug myself into this hole, and I'm determined to get myself out of it by any sensible means. Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you actually checked your credit file to see if there are any CCJs listed. Experian do it online so it is easy to check, although you do have to pay. I'm not sure about parking enforcement, but I didn't think they were listed as CCJs in any event.0

I haven't been able to check my credit record as it doesn't recognise my card details (they are correct though).
However, I checked with Northampton County Court and they confirmed in writing that these ARE NOT CCJs!
Obviously I'm not going to go out and get a load of parking tickets, but what a weight off my shoulders!
Thanks for the reply!0 -
Try ringing experian, equilifax and callcredit. Speaking to them to get your £2 statutory report might be easier.
A CCJ drops off 6 years after its start date. The receipt is probably just needed to update it to satisfied, but either way it will drop off.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Hi Lolly
Thats right parking notices do not become CCJs. An unpaid PCN in itself is enough for a council to instruct baliffs to they do not need to go to court. A PCN cannot be registered on your credit file.
To get your credit report (which is still a good idea) - you can do the £2 postal report with a cheque or postal order - see here http://experian.metafaq.com/templates/experian/main/answerPage?_mftmfenv:linkEntryCategory=$Order_Report&_mftmfenv:linkEntryClient=$experian&_mftmfenv:linkEntryName=$orderbypostA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
