Claim back bank charges from NATWEST Advice please !

Hi

I am currently in the processes of trying to get charges back from nawest. I have asked for my statement for the last 6 years, Not yet arrived.

At a rough guess i think the charges might come to about 800 to 1000 pounds.

My overdraft is £3300  , if i try and get my charges back and the bank closes my account what will happen to my overdraft?, will they ask for it back straight away or will i have time to pay it back to them.

If they are to ask for the overdraft back then i cant really go though with claiming my charges back. There is no way i could pay back that amount stright away.

Any advice would be great and i hope all that makes sense.

    Ask on the consumeractiongroup.com/forum

they are more likely to know whether Natwest specifically seem to be closing accounts.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk will be able to give you much more information than we can here. There is always the chance that they would close your account. Some banks do or at least threaten to although I beleive that this is now deemed as unfair by the OFT. If you do go through with a claim you are advised to have a new current account open as you need to be prepared that it MAY go to court and your bank account MAY get closed. check out the nat west forum at the CAG to find out how natwest treat the customers who are sueing
