Can I use an Umbrella Company?
[Deleted User]

I work for a certain University via NRG (agency)
I have looked into using an Umbrella Company but have been told by the University that I can not use an Umbrella Company instead of NRG.
Is this a restriction I must follow or something they are imposing on me due to some arrangement they have with NRG?

Presumably the work you do for the University is caught by IR35 which means that it is an employer/employee relationship and so they cannot engage you through your own company.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
