New House New tv which one?

I am due to move in the next 2 weeks and have decided it's time for a new tv.
i am wanting a plasma or lcd min of 42'' not to sure if lcd come that big?.
Can anyone point me in the right direction i have allowed myself £1300 for the tv. would prefer a buy now pay later deal if anyone knows who is offering thi also.

    My advice would be - go window shopping, decide exactly which make & model you want, then dont buy it. Wait until you move and you are settled in your new house, then go for that exact make & model - chances are, the way technology is moving, the TV will have dropped in price!
    My views are irrelevant - censorship is alive & well!

    Just make sure it's "HD Ready" and not "HD compatible"

    The Hitachi 42P7500 is getting good feedback on AVForums as did the 42P7200 that its based on. Actually they are virtually identical except the 7500 has built-in Freeview and one less scart socket.
