Any Advice Please :-)
Hi all,
I have a few questions i would like help with if you could. Around 3 years ago i had a loan that i took out for a car for around £3000, and a credit card bill of £1000. I was making payment fine until i lost my job and was forced out of my rented accomodation. During this time i relocated to another part of the country and never heard anything from my bank regarding the money owed. The loan was not taken against the car so i sold the car and lived off the money i got for it and got back on my feet. Since then i have have had no further credit, no missed payments on my electricity bills etc and now earn around 30k a year. The problem i have is that i believe these debts were written off and huge black marks were put beside my name, i dont think i will be able to obtain credit any time in the immediet future.
Now i require a vehicle for work as i am required to travel and if i dont get a car i will be at risk of losing my job and i was wondering, considering i have a rather good income and can most definelty afford monthly payments comfortably of up to £700 is there anywhere i would be able to borrow money from to buy the car now and pay the £700 per month back... i could save but that would take around 14 months to get the amount i need and i really dont have that kind of time. Its very frustrating as i have a great job, earn good money and can afford high monthly payments... i can most defiently save and i will/do however time is no longer on my side and i need to arrange soemthing.
Does anyone know how, even with written off debts and CCj's from 3 years ago that i could obtain 7 or 8k loan for a car. A provable track record with my bank and my employer and my wage slips are all readily available however i dare not walk into a bank and ask for a loan as i know it will be refused due to my previous bad history.
If you have any questions please ask and ill fill in the blanks if i have missed anything out... but please if any one knows how i could get my hands on this money either via a non standard lender with high interest rates or privatley then please let me know.
Cheers in advance ;-)

try this http://www.experian.co.uk/, they do a 30 dy free trial, you will be able to look at your credit file. A word of advise until youve really looked at it, DONT try for credit, you will be refused if youve credit isent good, and it all goes into your file as well. Hope this helps
