Look out for the special promotional packs of Engergizer Ultimate with 8 batteries for the price of 4 (100% extra free). They are included in the half price offer, which makes them a £1.49 for 8 batteries - a quarter of their normal price! I just bought a pack today.0

rechargeables are half price,in my local store(port talbot) 6 duracel aa's for £1.240

Went to my local Superdrug yesterday and the 8 packs of Duracell were marked up at £1.49 so should of made if 75p a pack as it said "off marked price" but they wouldnt sell me them for that price and took them all off display , i know legally they dont have to sell me anything but usually with chain stores they will honour price mistakes.
I think the best value ones are Panasonic Extreme which are similar to Duracell £2 for 200 -
