Account disappeared from credit report

Previously posted this in the Bank accounts board but got no replies, hoping someone here could help.
I have a graduate account with Lloyds that has an overdraft on it that I'm steadily paying off (see sig
)
I've been keeping track of my experian credit report for a while now and both that account and my credit card were updated regularly, if not somewhat behind. Then, neither of the accounts were updated past July this year and this week the Graduate account with the overdraft has disappeared completely without being settled.
im a bit confused - anyone know what could have happened?
thanks in advance

Bump for you as i don't know.
The record should stay on your report for 6 years, unless it is removed by the creditor. But i would think as there is an amount owing they wouldn't have any reason to remove it.
Have they sent any letters warning of using a debt collection agency?Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Thats what I thought..
Not had any letters regarding debt collectors. I had some issues with my address - it changed in May yet they ignored the forms I was putting in saying my signature wasnt correct and as such it didnt get changed until september. I asked for all correspondance for that time to be re-sent but they said no letters, only statements had been sent. So all should be fine as far as I know. The account isnt inactive either, there is a payment that goes in every monthDebts at LBM (May '08) £5760 - Lloyds CC £4260, Lloyds OD £1500;Debts as of May 28th 2011:Santander CC: £0.00Lloyds OD : £0.00DFW Nerd #1247 - Proudly dealt with my DebtsOlympic 2012 Challenge #12

You should be so worried if an account gets wiped off your credit file, it does happen and who are we to bother to complain when it happens, just a quiet chuckle :-)0

If the account is under your old address and you haven't updated your search with all your address details then it won't show up. Credit files tend to get updated every 3 months, so it may well reappear. Or if you haven't updated your details in your credit file search, it may well still be there but not showing up on your view of the information0

I assume you are (or until recently) were a student and have only a couple of accounts/credit cards. In that case you should worry about accounts going off your credit card as your credit standing will not reflect to other lenders when you apply for any credit.
Remember a person who has no accounts or just one account on his/her file will be seen as a credit risk as there is no history to go by.
Check with experian whi it has happened it may be a error on their part. if they say no then talk to your bank.:beer::beer:0 -
This happened to me of late and it's particularly annoying as it was a Royal Bank credit card which previously had a balance of about £1,600 on it until I paid it off. So, the account has been settled and closed and I'd hope that this would have a positive impact upon my credit score, but the blinking account info has gone missing. I've tried chasing it up with Credit Expert but I keep getting the same reponse, "It is there" but not on the report that I, and presumably everyone else, would see.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

ECar - I updated my address with Experian and all accounts. The rest of my accounts have updates every month, just the Lloyds ones that dont seem to have been keeping up
udydudy - It was one of 9 accounts, 4 of which are now settled (2 store loans, a credit card and a non-od current account). Of those I have left are the two outstanding ones in my sig, 2 other current accounts and my phone contract, all of which are updating every month.
Bathgate - I'm not sure why that would be....Debts at LBM (May '08) £5760 - Lloyds CC £4260, Lloyds OD £1500;Debts as of May 28th 2011:Santander CC: £0.00Lloyds OD : £0.00DFW Nerd #1247 - Proudly dealt with my DebtsOlympic 2012 Challenge #12
