My husband has a case with the CSA, its maintenance direct which means he pays directly to her with no involvemnet from the CSA but the case is still open. Before he was allowed to do this he had to pay all arrears owed to her and the SOS. This was done and he has been paying as agreed for over a year now.
A couple of weeks ago he asked the PWC to close the case completely as she ahd no reason to keep it open he was happy to pay what she had asked and there had been no problems. She told him she had called them and requested it to be closed and to await the letter stating this had been done.
Still not recieved anything so yesterday night he called them and asked what was going on. They said that there were notes on the file to say she had called up and requested it to be done but the case worker hadnt actioned this yet. Is this normal? When I closed my case we got a letter the next day saying it was done?!
Theres no way he could owe money if she has been on benefits is there? He payed all arrears owed before they would switch it over surely if she's been on benefits since then it was up to her to declare what she was getting? I'm just panicking a bit now as to why its still open?!
Any help appreciated. x

Sounds like a lax caseworker! Your PWC has kept to her side of the agreement just the CSA haven't actioned it. It is also up to he PWC to declare any maintenance that she gets if she recieves benefits.*SIGH*
