Afternoon all, I believe my employer could do considerably more to improve their environmental impact upon the world. To this end I have made some observations, checked the internet and emailed them as follows:
Subject: Improvement suggestions
Comments: Hi, I'd like to what ********* will be doing about reducing power and water usage.
Power production could be increased by using wind turbines and solar panels.
Water sould be saved by using 'tapmagic' aerated tap fittings and fitting dual flush systems to the toilet, also switching the urinals to air flush systems.
Some equipment could be fitted with savaplug devices to save elctricity, but the best would be to replace lighting with low energy bulbs and proximity lighting in the non-open offices.
Saves money, saves the environment, saves water, save electricity and it's extremely good PR. Even if you do just one of these, the savings would be immense.
Oh and take away the paper towels (fix the hand driers), the paper cups (use mugs) and use only recycled paper.
Well, I just thought I'd give it a go and see what happens, please post in this thread any attempts made by other people and the outcomes. You can't change things if you don't try.

I would have thought paper towels more sustainable than the hot air dryers that hardly ever actually work properly.
trying to get rid of the plastic cup culture at our place is like :wall: Ive got 2 mugs and 2 proper glasses everyone looks at me weirdly:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
