Just watch yourself, I got Bio blend a few months ago in Saintfield. I use to fill up all the time there. Engine in car died (£3200 for a new engine) and garage closed. Unable to find the owner of garage so they got away with it. It was laundered fuel so just make sure the diesel is legit or the few pence savings soon become a big debt.0

i bought "biodiesel" from a petrol station in ballymoney... a third of a tankful later my fuel hoses were eaten through and the car was peeing diesel everywhere i siphoned out the rest of the fuel and repaired the hoses, but the next week my fuel pump died
i won't be trying it again (it was an audi 80, btw). biodiesel doesn't agree with all cars though it was supposed to have done with mine, not convinced it wasnt dodgy red mixed with sulphuric however 0 -
Ok,
Simple rules.
If your car is expensive one, or fairly new (say within 7 years) dont use other fuel unless you get some kind of conversion done.
If you want to use alternative fuel, male sure your Fuel Pump is either a Bosch. If is says CAV on it leave it alone. Also, if you fuel pump is electronically controlled, like most new cars (7 years or under) then dont use alternative fuel until you ,make modification
New cars are picky about fuel, mainly cause there fuel pumps a electronically controlled, they also have sensor to mess up car. Old cars are the best and eat anything you throw at them, providing they stick to the above basic rules.
P.S. - Even on the older car you have to regularly change the fuel filters. Don;t risk using it during winter and cold periods0
