  • I pre-ordered for OH from Tesco for £44.97, rang them at lunch time and told them i ordered the wrong one and could i return it. They said fine just send it back for a full refund. Then headed straight to local Morrisons and got it for £25.99.

Fantastic, although need not have pre-ordered it. Can't believe Tesco were charging so much for the pre-order and not the same price on day of sale. But i do understand why people want to place pre-orders.

They were limiting it to one per customer but said that buyers first thing this morning were buying 5/6 copies.
  • My Son had pre-ordered his from Amazon, but decided he couldn't wait. He went to Asda on his way home from work (6am) and they had sold out. He asked me to go to Sainsbury's for him, I rang them at 9 and they had sold out within 10 minutes of opening! He was in HMV later today and they had it a full price. Someone was complaining about how can they justify it because Asda had it for much less and the assistant said " fine, go to Asda then. They have been sold out in every shop in the area for the last 4 hours"

Went to my local tesco first thing this morning hoping to get the £25 deal as i also needed a ps3 game for an xmas pressie(and the nearest sainsburys is miles away!).I was suprised that none of the staff knew of the offer and then fuming to find that, although they had the game in stock, they had cleverly stocked the shelves with ONLY Wii games!Every space apart from the one with the COD game!
At this point i had not heard about the Morrisons deal.I thought id take a look in my local Morrisons though before i drove all the way to sainsburys(to probably find it out of stock).I nearly wooped outloud for joy when i saw a beautifully stocked shelf of all platform games including COD on xbox for.....£25.99!!!!! :T:j
Im guessing the people in my town are not in a rush for this game as they had quite a few left on the shelf?

cannot believe game are still selling this for £44.99 :eek:they should be boycotted.

it's an open market, if people are stupid enough to not do their research why shouldn't they profit from it?

I dare say supermarkets are selling these games at a lose

So its may look unfair to other companies who only rely on selling certain product range
  • I was in ASDA living in Durham tonight about 7.30 they had just got a delivery in :)

Picked up a PS3 copy (they only got 5 in) but the lady said they got a lot of the XBOX version in.

    £32

Ordered 1 for me on PS3 and 1 on 360 for a work colleague from Sainsburys online this morning (I did go to the shop, but the queue was 200 deep, life is too short for that), as the order was over £50 they refunded £5.95 p&p automatically, but it was free p&p on this anyway! Meant I got both for £47.05 :rotfl:

If you have Call of Duty 4 trade it in at Game and they will sell you COD MW2 for £22.49 half the instore and online price. Hubby did this this evening, saved him ebaying his old game and got the new one for a decent price, plus points on the Game card, plus it was stress free as he went at 6pm tonight and they had loads in.

    This was for Xbox 360.
