hi, im 21 and currently on benefit's, i have quite a rubbish credit history owing about £800 between several different companies, im currently awaiting my bank charges re-claim as i have wrote to my bank again claiming finantial hardship, i'dlike to know if anyone could recommnd a good loan company that will give me a little bit of cash to maybe pay off some or all of these debt's and have a little left over. I was ripped off the last time i "was garenteed a loan" from Advantage loans (whih i have since discovered is a Scam) im considering going to my local CAD to see if they can help, my monthly income is roughly £800 (benefits), i have 2 children 3 and 1 myself and my husband, i am having to shed out 200+ to buy oil, christmas is comming up and im paying roughly £40 a week on electric to run my rickety old boiler. we scraped through last year and took out a credit account that thus went into debt, this has a lot to do with the riple effect from bank charges
i want my kids to have a great christmas this year and i dont want to have debt hanging over my head.
Can anyone help?????

Assuming this isn't a wind up...
Don't take on credit for christmas. Your kids will learn from you cutting the cloth to fit when you can't afford things.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Good on you! And I'm sure you'll feel great about it after a lovely Christmas with your family :-D0 -
We get a lot of windup merchants here, so I apologise for the comment.
Your kids won't care if you spend £1 or £1 million on them this year. They are too young to notice or care. What they will appreciate is your love, time, and you not worrying about how to pay back a loan you got for 1 day of the year that is nothing but commercial nonsense anyway. (Christmas has lost its true meaning).
Good on you for not doing it

So glad that you are not going to go down the loan route.
Have you spoken to the childrens Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles etc; If you can and they agree, perhaps they could agree to buy the children a gift (as they would anyway) allow you to "bag them from Santa". That way, the children get there presents, Grandparents and Aunts etc are happy to have helped out. You move into the New Year without a massive loan hanging over you.:j
The Money you are earmarking can then be spent on neccesities, like food heating etc.;)
I know if this was a member of my family, I would much prefer to do this for them, than see them struggle or get into debt.:A
Good Luck and keep that resolve.:j I have a persecution complex. Everytime I pass a shoe shop they persecute me till I buy them:j0 -
Christmas is one day - I cannot beleive people think they have to spend £100's to have a good one!
Get a Christmas 'make and do' book from the library and see how creative you can be with your children. They won't remember what they didn't get!!! They will remember the 'welly' walk on the beach, the 6 hour Monopoly marathon and the decorations they made with Mum and Dad - mine do!!One life.0
