    In the very, very unlikely event that they try to 'enforce' this you'll be covered. If it were me though I wouldn't bother. I think what they verbally asked you to do is plain ridiculous :p

    I do agree with your comment. As they know I could just get another. In a way I feel they should prefer me to keepit as it has no offers on it. A new card would have temptation with 0% interest.

    That cards no different to another card. They can't tell me I can't ever have another credit card for the 5 years of the loan.

    2bh though it probably makes sense to try for another as it will be good interest plus I'd rather more of a reward card now.

    Worst case I keep what I have andim sure Natwest say nothing.

    Surely they couldn't say u didn't close the card and you've used it so we are taking the loan back, that would ruin my money n surely that wouldn't be responsible lending?
