Professional help getting a job?

Hi,
I don't know whether this service exists or not, however my partner and I are wanting to relocate to London. The problem we have is that she is finding it hard to get a job despite the fact that she is has 5 year of quality experience (domestic + international), young (28), and excellent at her job. I know we are in a down-turn, but I would at least be expecting to see her get interviews, however she has receieved nothing in over six months.
Anyway, my query is whether there are any professional services that could get her get a foot in the door or at least provide guidance as to why she is struggling to get interviews.

There are various career consultancy firms which you can find by Googling or by looking in the Yellow Pages. Personally, I wouldn't pay for this kind of service without a personal recommendation.0

You know, that's a really good idea if you could start and run such a service.
Like the personal shoppers of the recruitment industry.

She could register with agencies in London..I got interviews that way and also look on the civil service gateway as I got interviews that way too..in the end I decided not to move to London.
Maybe she needs to review her CV and tailor it to the jobs for which she is applying.
How many jobs has she had in the past 5 years? That could also have a bearing on things especially if she has moved jobs every 12-18 months as that can go against her..because it signifies to employers that she's not likely to stay.0
