Anyone used Cafepress.co.uk

Hi, I have found some gift ideas on this website www.cafepress.co.uk
but as they are shipped from America I am unsure about taxes. As anyone used this site and did you have to pay tax on the postage. Many Thanks

  • I have used the site several times; I've never had to pay the sales tax, but once my order went just over £18 and I had to pay UK import duties and the charge to the Post Office for collecting the import duty, so ended up paying an extra £8 or £9 in total.

Since then I've always broken any large orders down into several deliveries of under £18 (including p&p) - it costs more in delivery, but nowhere near as much more as the duty would be.
