Glade Scented Oils - homemade?

Can anyone help? I got carried away with the moment in Tescos the other day and bought two of those new little tins for Glade Scented Oils. They came with one candle each which didn't seem to burn for very long (but they did smell nice!).
Anyway, the thing is I went to get some refills only to find that even though they were half price - they still cost £3.00 for 3 little candles (that means they are usually £6.00). Does anyone know where I could get them cheaper? Would the little yankee tarts work in the tins? Or should I just give up and bin them?
Thanks in advance.

I think Poundland sell scented candles.
www.savvyhomemade.com shows how to make your own essential oils, but candle making itself is quite dear.
Hope this helps!
:jInfamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!

I don't think Yankee tarts would be any good in them as you need a heat source underneath the tarts to melt them, they don't have a wick to light. Maybe you could get some yankee sampler candles or Yankee tealights which are a lot cheaper than £6 for six. Wyevales selll boxes of 12 tealights for £5.99 and you don't need a holder to put them in!
I'd bin the Glade things if I were you and just stick with Yankee candles. (I adore them!!)I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!
I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!

Don't know if you have a Quality Save near where you live, but in the one local to me they sell the tins for £1.79 and the 3 refill candles for £1.99.**Trying my best to be the best that I can**

The last one works out at about 8p per item!
Hope some of these help.Banana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0 -
Thanks for all your replies. I think the tins are for the bin!:hello:0

They have the 'refills' in Home Bargains at the moment. Can't remember how much but cheap. Just the one flavour - it was something autumny.
But I'd agree with the Yankee Candles comment for the range and quality of the fragrances. If you're near Boundary Mill they're a very good price or try Yankeedoodle online.0
