We have decided to get a few more packs and bundle them up in 3s or even 2s!! to give as a stocking filler. I know not great but probably better than socks. It is the type of thing that people will put away and then be glad of. 33p a bottle - can't complain really.0

By golly - in itself is the most ridiculous thing I have heard not just this year but perhaps ever!! Thanks for the laugh - by golly!! Manages to be both racist and absurd, bit like Nick Griffin.
I guess if you had over 50 people to buy presents for you would be spending a fortune on each and everyone whilst still having money for your kids and immediate family.
As I said, I would prefer to get a useful item like shower gel instead of a thoughtless pair of socks.
Thanks for the amusement - By golly, how rude!! Bet you don't put much into the swear box do you? Oooh golly gosh, my giddy aunt. F****** hilarious!!0 -

Certainly is not rude about . By golly is simply a phrase, an expression of surprise - even the OED says that it is used "to express surprise or delight", and is actually a euphemism for GOD
Things have got just a little bit too PC these days.
If you think that is a "bad" word, you should hear some of the things Africans call whites! And no, I can't put them down here! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Obviously by golly isn't racist0
