I too am on the NR SVR and hope that it stays at its current rate for a good few years as it will save me some cash as I am looking at about an 85% LTV so probably nearer a 6% rate if I had to fix now.
It is quite possible that it will stay at 4.79% for the next year and more. Any longer than that would be a massive bonus. Need to see what happens at the general election. Put it this way if I were in negative equity right now I would be hoping that the Conservatives don't get it. They do not have a good track record on looking after people who are finding it difficult to pay their mortgages!!!0
