Freecycle or similar?

Not sure which board I should be putting this question on but hopefully someone can help out.
I am currently landscaping my back garden and have approx 25 of the big grey patio slabs that I no longer want. I've read on here about giving to freecycle but when I went on the freecycle site there doesn't appear to be a group in Telford. Anyone local know differently?
Anyone know of any other similar organisations or have any suggestions as to what I might do with the slabs. Since there is nothing wrong with them it seems a waste to dump them & it would also be a hell of an effort since they are VERY heavy.
I'm thinking I've probably got quite a bit of other stuff to recycle. A 5ft Nathan dresser/drinks unit comes to mind, that has been blocking up half the garage for almost 5yrs! Really must get around to clearing out tons of baby & kids stuff too (mine are now teenagers).
Hopefully there are people who would happily take these goodies away but not sure where to offer them.

Do you have a Free Ads paper? You could put an ad in there.
Old fashioned method would be notices in the local shops; word of mouth at work/neighbourhood or even, space allowing, put them out front and put a notice on saying: "Free"?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TelfordFreecycle/ this is a link to the Telford site and has an option to join the group, alternatively go to http://www.freecycle.org/display.php?region=United%20Kingdom and scroll down to "Shropshire" and click on "Join" to join by email.
Good luchk with it, one of my closest friends is a member and told me about the concept of Freecycle, which led me to create my own local group. Hope you enjoy being a member of the group and thanks to Matt for asking the question on ModSquad.0 -

Hope that helps you Snapdragon, as a founder of the Luton Freecycle we have found that it has meant some really good stuff being saved from Landfill (Including several cars, an 8 berth trailer tent, numerous bikes, homebrew kits, lights, speakers and all sorts of IT kit as well as rubble, building materials etc.) and it also has sved members a packet on buying these items!
Cheers

Thanks everyone, have joined the Telford freecycle group. Have found a home for my slabs.
When I've got the garden sorted and got some more time, will have a good look at what I can offer. Just reading a few posts on the site tonight it's reminded me of various things we have been storing for ages.0
