cheap haircuts

Hi! This is my very first posting, so here goes! Another alternative for a cheap but good haircut, is to visit the hair & beauty department of your local college. The students are only allowed to train on jo(e) public, if they've passed NVQ level 2 minimum. Prices vary, but are generally cheaper than the high street. Certainly worth a look.

I get mine done at Mr Topper for £6. It's pretty no-frills but I'm in and out of there in 10 mins! What prices do these students normally charge?0

Aberdeen College are doing a special just now with perms for £1. Beacuse the trend is for straight hair they are struggling to get people who want perms done.
My mum went on Wednesday and her hair is lovely! Another friend of mine has also booked to go, shes loving it since shes usually £60+ for a perm!Bringing up 2 handsome boys and 1 gorgeous girl the MSE way!Joseph born 19th December 2001Matthew born 8th August 2007Tara born 23rd January 20110 -
Hi! Southend-on-Sea college has 2 salons. One is called Queens Road Studio, based in Southend itself, just a few doors past HMV. The other is called Westcliff Studio, based in Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff. Current prices (June2006) for work carried out by NVQ Level1 & Level2 Learners are as follows: for a mens wet cut, its just £3, shampoo&set £3.50, cut&blow-dry/set £5, and a perm is £6, to name just a few. Full printed Price List available on request. All the usual styling, perming and colouring options are available. As with most salons, you need to book an appointment (01702 220667 for Southend; 01702 348653 for Westcliff). As you would expect, all work is carried out under the supervision of a qualified trainer. And because the students are being trained, appointments take a bit longer than normal. So please bare this in mind. Both salons are open all year round.0

mr topper in the west end?
such a funny looking place..
tony and guy academies are the best, and theres vidal sasson too..I know theres some in london, bristol and manchester..
I've had cut and colours for a fiver before.
It does take a while though, but I never mind that! (it's good to escape ..having a 6 month old baby ..lol)
One time however, they did it onstage, with 40 or so people watching and taking notes..that was a bit awkward for me!Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
Another tip for ladies is to go to a barber.
I find the cut is about half the price of a cut & blowdry at a ladies salon and just as good.0
