Don't bother looking for such a book, and if anyone forces one on you just ignore it.
Halogen ovens, just like any other ovens are individuals, each one will be different. A book may say cook at X temp for Y minutes, but two different halogen ovens may give different results. One may burn the food while the other will under cook it.
The trick is to learn the characteristics of your particular oven. You can only do that by trial and error, but remember that a halogen oven is a fan oven, and mostly it cooks hotter than normal ovens.
I normally knock 10 to 20 degrees of the temperature and start checking the food after 75% of the cooking time. You soon learn that if the recipe says cook at 200 degrees for 40 minutes, yours will do it at 175 degrees in 30 minutes.. Or something similar!0 -

Thanks
when my mum bought her oven we scoured the internet looking for a book with no luck! But JML are selling one now, £5 approx. I wouldn't bother with it though, I think G Joe is right. And you can see through the glass bowl if a lot of things, eg pizza, are ready.
http://www.jmldirect.com/The-Halogen-Handbook-PH1505/ Guess it has about 24 recipes in it
JML have a video http://www.jmldirect.com/The-Original-Halogen-Oven-PH1501/ which gave us a few clues when we started off!0 -
Thanks for the advise guys. Can you literally put anything in it that you put in a cooker?
Was also thinking of getting rid of the microwave as well, wonder if it cooks microwave meals in there?? Though it will probably be hard to get the meal out of the plastic taht its in, ha.0 -

More or less, but it won't bake things like cakes, pies etc.
Have a look at this thread, it should give you loads of ideas.

And this one too, the slow cooker recipe collection.

Nothing on earth would make me get rid of my microwave! Things like frozen peas are better/quicker in a microwave. TV dinners in foil come out nice from a halogen.0 -
You can download a Halogen Oven Cookbook (PDF) from the shopping channel - Idealworld website
go straight to the bottom of the page and towards the right hand side you will find a link to the free cookbook
