  • we used tons of conditioner to sort the nits out!

As a preventive measure I used to put some tea tree oil in the last rinse water when i washed their hair.

Getting the hair wet every night can be a pain - esp in winter. In the end i bought an electric nit comb - it was wonderful - and it zapped the little blighters!

I never used the shampoos - hubby did chemistry at Uni - and told me that he didn't want those chemicals on our kids! - this was 13 -15 years ago!

Who was asking about wiping down the skirting boards? I know you used polish but I use a damp cloth, soaked in a bucket of nice smelly multi-purpose cleaner, or you can spray the cloth with a multi spray, OR soaked in washing up liquid.

Teenies now gone to College so I'm off to hoover.
