    What instructions do you want?

You bung the food in, switch it on (high or low) and come back when the food is cooked.

That's about all it is for any slow cooker, and I doubt your particular make and model is any different from any other, so just follow what is written to do with any slow cooker.

    Hello gt568

Try this thread - most slowcookers are pretty much the same when it comes down to basics.

There are some minor differences, for instance my 6.5litre one has a fancy digital timer thing on it but only ONE heat setting. My older one had a very basic timer BUT a choice of three heat settings .

For your first couple of attempts, I'd use it while you're at home until you get more confident in using it. Write down any really good successes that you have, so that you'll remember what you did for next time.

What I would say is that it's very easy to put too much cooking liquid in a SC and THAT's when people complain that their meals turn out very watery. If you've got root vegetables in it (carrots, swede, parsnip, potatoes etc) I'd make sure that they are just covered with liquid. You have to remember that liquid in a Slow Cooker doesn't evaporate like it does in a pan on the hob.

Good Luck with it  - Ollie x

I am with "Geordie joe" here.

It is no more than a saucepan and I have never seen instructions for them.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

So how do I know what should be cooked on high or low? How do I know when the food is cooked?

    Thanks for your helpfull comments....

What are you cooking GT? generally on low for 6-8 hours does most things. Don't worry, if I had a SC and no instructions, I would feel as confused as you do! Have you tried contacting the manufacturer? I haven't been able to find that one online for you

It normally tells you in the recipe, or in posts on here, that's why I said "so just follow what is written to do with any slow cooker."

The same way you know how food is cooked in any other appliance. Either you cook it at the temperature specified and for the specified time, or you wait until you think it's done then check it.

I have that crockpot. Just follow recipes as normal. I normally put it on high for 1 hour to get started then drop it to low. I don't bother with high if I am going out. Most stews take up to 8 hours.
