how can I liven up my veggie sausages?

Fozz
I have made some veggie sausages using a packet of sage & onion stuffing and lentils, but my daughter says they are a bit bland. I still have 8 in the freezer, so rather than chuck them I thought I would add some sort of seasoning to liven them up a bit. I just can't think what would do it, any suggestions welcome!

Have just made toad-in-the-hole with spicy onion gravy with veggie sausages.
You could try doing the same - just add plenty of black pepper to the batter mix and a spoonful of mustard to the gravy for a bit more oomph:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

As they're already made you can't mix the seasoning in with them, so I'd try and serve them with something that peps them up a bit - how about a spicy salsa?2015 comp wins - £370.25

I second toad in the hole and onion gravy, but it's even better served with sweet potato mash. The combination of sweet mash, "meaty" (or umami) sos and salty gravy is sublime.
Sausages should be only just cooked when you add the batter so hey don't overcook.
You can also add extar flavour by adding a sprig of rosmary and some freash thyme (or dried) to the oil.
You could alternativly fry the sausages in garlic or herb oil to add flavour or serve sausages with a dab of mustard / ketchup / cranberry sauce...0 -
Reggae Reggae Sauce. Coat and grill with it..or just as a relish.
