Pay off All Mortgage or What to do?

I hve been lucky enough to be getting an inheritance soon and we have an endowment mortgage ( had a pay out for shortfall already) which we have over paid for nearly 15 years so only have circa 22,000 to pay off - now should I pay off the lot or leave some for the endowments are meant to be only used with a mortgage - it has till 2012 to run - dont know what to do>
CAn someone tell me which is best - pay off lot or pay off some and leave about 10,000 of a mortgage?
