(I thought there used to be a whole 'bootsing' thread but I can't find one - sorry if I've overlooked it.)
Can Advantage card points be used against sale items? I was wondering whether I should save my boosted points til after Christmas in the hope of some half priced gift sets, or use them for Christmas gifts.

Hello Scotrae,
Yes I think there is a boots thread running somewhere, but like you not sure where. When you have built up enough points on your card you can use them to pay for items at the checkout, regardless of whether they are sale items, three for two, full price or otherwise. I think there is some rule where you have to pay for the entire purchase, so can't 'part pay' towards something using your points, but maybe someone else can clarify that.0 -
Thats correct, you can't use points to partly pay for something, you have to have the full amount.0

Oh my goodness yes!! I spent all of mine in the 75% off Boots sale in January this year
.
You can also buy your Christmas gifts on the 342 promotion, and pay in points, if you want to. Though as missywissy said, you have to have enough points to be able to pay in full in points, you can't pay part points, part cash.0 -
Wonderful - thank you folks! I might just hold off and treat myself instead of everyone else then

Can you use Boots points on everything in store now or do they still have shelf-edge symbols to show which points can be redeemed against?0 -
I honestly can't think of anything in Boots that you can't pay with points for
- if there are though, I'm sure a more seasoned Bootser will be able to advise you. 0
