I'm only going home for one week this year because I can't afford to take any time off work unpaid, so Im not going to see any of my friends this year - the weel im home is the week everyone goes on holiday (i cant afford to go).

Urgh, things are not going too well money-wise at the moment.

I got paid less that I thought and almost all of it has gone towards rent. Some of it has had to come back out and has been spent because I have been a bit of an idiot and spent £60 when I went to see The Who on sunday (about £25 was for travel but I still feel awful) even though it was an amazing festival.
I get paid from my other job this friday but because its my first pay from them I know i'll be on emergency tax so won't get anywhere near enough money to sort myself out. I need £200 rent, £40 loan, £30 phone, £10 CC/store card pymt, £13 tv lic, £20 O/D interest - £313 and thats not even counting food or anything else! I've worked out i'm only going to get about £150 so now I have to borrow the rest off my boyfriend who doesn't even have enough money to pay the rent himself this quarter. He's had to ring the landlord to ask to pay it a month late (which thankfully he said yes to) which helps, but now it means i'm going to end up borrowing about £200 off him so I can pay everything and live for the next 3 weeks. So now all my overtime that i'll get at end of july will just go to paying him back, i'm so disappointed with myself.

I can't really remember exactly what i've spent over the past week or so but i'm going to guess at -

£25 on groceries and other useless wastes of money
    £60 on Wireless Festival

I can't get over how frivilous i've been this week, its amazing how bad I feel. I guess thats a good thing though because I know that what i've done was wrong. To make it worse, my boyfriend is going home for a few days tomorrow to see all our friends and i'm gonna be stuck here on my own. *sigh*

My only consolation is that I should get paid alot more next payday and that ive got another mystery shop next monday.

God, I really do regret ever spending what I did to get myself into such a position.

I'm so glad I got all that out last time, I feel better now i've said something.
Got paid a little bit more than I was expecting so that chirped me up a bit and i've been able to afford the rent so thats less for me to borrow from my boyfriend. I still need to borrow from him though so we have enough for food, but thats something i'm willing to do so I can eat!

    29/06 - 02/07:
£10 ish on groceries (milk/bread/toilet roll etc)

Hopefully my ridiculous spend in leeds will make me more careful this month! And only 3 weeks til 1st job payday/4 weeks til 2nd job payday.

So rent is paid so that is good.

Not sure how much ive spent, probably more than I can afford though!
Just bought MORE gig tickets which I could've spent the money on better things, but the gig is in november and if I wanted to go closer to the time it would have cost me so much more (the tickets are already on sale for £50 each on ebay and i paid £50 for 2!) so its a better save overall.

I've GOT TO stop going to sainsburys all the time, im spending way too much money on food!!!

    2 weeks til nxt payday

Wow, not been on here for ages!
Have sorted a few things since last time so hoorah. I've managed to save for rent a lot better this time around (to be paid 1st oct) and ive opened another account to save a bit of money into. Its an e-savings account so i cant have a card or anything to spend from which will hopefully make me not spend anything I shouldnt! DD will go into that at £5/mnth but if I have extra I want to add to it when I can. Have paid £10 each off CC and store card this month (instead of £5 off each) and reduced my OD by another £10. Hopefully if I can do this every month things will clear a bit quicker!
Also did a monthly grocery shop online to stop myself buying things when I don't need them and got 10% staff discount too(saved £7)!
Bought my hair colour (on offer too) so I can colour it at home and just get it cut at the hairdressers instead of all done, should save me about £30!
Ooooh and have earnt £50 in mystery shops so far this month too so that has paid for my loan pymt and a few drinks!
Have to wait and see if I can keep this all up but fingers crossed!

  • Well it seems my money saving has gone tits up again, I just can't seem to stick to it.
I need to work more hours so im gonna ask once I get back home (got a week off, spending it with my parents - cheap!), I only do 24hrs/wk basic at the moment but I need more!
Tried to get a consolidation loan the other day but got rejected.
Why can't I win the lottery or something!
On a plus point I earnt my first £20 from mutualpoints and my first £10 amazon voucher from toluna (which im gonna save for christmas), just gotta wait for them through the post.
