I have spent too much....£114 at the vets for food, insulin and needles. This will last 6 weeks! £35 on petrol which will have to last the month. £20 on two pairs of sandles and two pairs of trainers so the children don't wreck their school shoes (quite pleased with this as in Next with a friend yesterday and tempted by two pairs of shoes that cost £15.00 but resisted!) £14.00 on fruit, salad, bread, couscous etc for picnic tomorrow and Saturday.
Total : £1183.00January budget

I was following a recipe for stewed ribs just now when I realised that instead of getting black bean sauce yesterday, I'd actually bought black beans IN sauce - a whole pile of beans and very little sauce
Had to run to the Co-Op - so that was an unexpected £1.19.
Will be buying a single train ticket to town later, and that's another £2.30, so I reckon, £3.49 for the whole day.0 -
£5.40 on cigarettes and £2.45 on a coffee. Grand total of £7.85.0

More than I intended to!
£4 on passport photo's for DS (necessity)
£2 on brand new blouse from charity shop (not a necessity but will be ideal for a wedding next month and will save me buying something much more expensive nearer the time)
69p on cherries (temptation too much)
£7 on new toothbrushes, mouthwash and floss (could have got cheaper but having found brands that DS will use without needing to be 'reminded', the lack of hassle is worth the extra cost)
£5 on misc bits of shopping in Tesco (hopefully these will see out the week)
total = 18.69
I hope for a cheaper day tomorrow, although I'm booked for a haircut (£7) and my wild eyebrows taming (3.50) so £10.50 is on the cards already.

Pleased today, took my 2 kids and a friends 3 to the forest where they all had a great time. Spent some money in Tesco's yesterday towards the picnic lunch but that meant I didn't spend a penny today.
Will also be paid for the childminding - although only charging mates rates.0
