There is no key with the chuck

  • WD40 is the answer. I locked a keyless chuck on a battery drill fully open. I tried brute force but without success. Sprayed a load of WD40 in as last resort, left in 10 mins and then tried again and Bob's your uncle. Good luck!

Wd40 it night before(wipe off any remaining oil),Put g- clamp on chuck of drill (unplugged) then cradle chuck and clamp with left hand, surport drill body with waist/thighs (maybe best sat down) .Slap end of clamp this should provide the leverage needed.

Has the op not managed to open this chuck yet. It is now a month since this problem first occurred.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
