Asda - Disappearing shopping!

I have noticed a problem with my online grocery shopping. I frequently put items in my basket only for them never to turn up. They are not missing as they are not listed on my paperwork that comes with the shop, they are not substituted and they are not stated on the paperwork as unavailable. If i look on my account there is no sign of said item/s.

I assumed it was me being ditzy and never really gave it much thought. However today i noticed an item WAS in my email confirmation but not listed on my online order in my account and not a mention of it on my paperwork that came with the shopping.

I have not been charged for said item but why is it disappearing into thin air between my email confirmation of it and my order?

Anyone else noticed this?

I am going to email asda later to find out whats going on when this happens but if anyone else knows please do tell me. I've spent months thinking i'm going mad:rotfl:

oh you know this used to happen to me ALL the time with ASDA. I would be sure I had ordered stuff, but then it wasnt there , and no trace of it... again I thought it was me missing stuff, till I tookreal care with certwin items on an order I rwally needed and then they vanished without tace.....Anyway I dont use ASDA anymore since they messed up processing my card(and many calls to random call centres) resulting in the bank cancelling my debit card and me having to wait for new one to be sent out leaving me with no cash for 3 days...

Sounds like the railway companies who cancel trains so that they don't adversely affect their time keeping figures.

just print ur order/basket out and check it against the one that comes, or if u r in the same are there may be something in the water!! smiles.........

This happens to me all the time with the Asda site... items you click never appear in the basket. I now make a point of checking every item makes it in before finding the next one. Sometimes I have to refresh the page and re-click to force it into the basket.

Happens to me too. One day I had put some aunt bessies frozen pancakes in the basket, got them on the email confirmation, went in to change the order and they had disappeared (couldnt find them on the site altogether so they obviously decided to stop selling them online). I've had cheese go missing (was on offer so guess it sold out), and this week placed an order again got the confirmation, went in to add something and it suddenly said the cheese I wanted was no longer available (cathedral city so I very much doubt it).

I still use asda and thankfully it doesnt happen too often but yeah, it had me wondering too!

so glad its not just me! i would have started shopping elsewhere a long time ago if they weren't so cheap i have so many issues with them!

what also really bugs me is when you order something like potatoes and they don't turn up because they are unavailable. i find it hard to believe they can't find any potatoes in store they could substitute me with!
