They had these yesterday in Aldi for £16.99. (These are the ones with the pink swimsuits - not the ones with a stripey swimsuit, snorkel & bubbles)

don't like to be negative, but a warning for anyone looking at this kind of toy, watch out with this model, my kids had one and it only lasted a short while before water managed to seep into the battery compartment (which was closed and sealed properly) and it stopped working...

Yes exactly the same here. I think it lasted 3 baths.
  • My daughter has this one too and we've had no problems with it - could you not take yours back if it's still under guarantee?
  • DD has had hers for a month or so and it goes in every bathtime, think the trick is to tighten up the battery compartment REALLY tight.

If yours stopped working it ought to go back for a refund if you can.

Got ours for £19.99 in Argos and recently saw the new one, with flippers etc for £19.99 in Toys R Us so DD is a bit gutted, as now she wishes she had the one with all the extra bits!

If we hadn't already got her the pink swimsuit one, I would pay the extra and get the snorkel/bubbles one from Toys R Us.
