When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Good morning everyone....it's the weekend:T:T

Morning Milly! Thanks for starting the thread xx

Phew, been a while since I've posted here. Had some really really carp family stuff going on, & my head has just been cabbaged, I didnt want to keep coming on & moaning, so just havent posted for a while.

Things are still not resolved, but are now manageable, and not filling my head 24/7. So I need to refocus and get back to normal!

Elder DD has just got over tonsilitis (again! second time in 2 months) and younger DD crashed heads at school yesterday and got a hugggeeee swollen bruise on her cheek poor thing! Bit like Holby City round here lol.

    Anywayyyy, today:

    - Check online banking
    - Quidco clicks
    - Clean & tidy conservatory and hoover cobwebs from ceiling
    - Dinner at mums later as off to watch fireworks & staying over
    - LSD - only need lottery ticket and sparklers lol

Have a good day everyone xxxxx
  • Ahhhhh Mogchops - lovely to 'see' you back....I wondered where you'd gone:p A few regulars seem to have disappeared....the thread's been quite quiet:o
    Have a fab weekend:D

    Morning all,

    Today I will:

    Shower instead of bath
    Vacuum the house
    Phone my mum
Take something back for a refund
    Check online banking

    Daily competitions
    Anything else that follows...

Hope everyone has a good day!
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T

    Hello!

I've been about as DFW as as a very high-spending thing recently :o but now I'm back :j

    This weekend I will/have:
    • check accounts online

Have also already been to Mr T's & done a sensible shop by following a sensible list. This is where you write down what you need in the order of the store. It save on the random to'ing & fro'ing to get things that I think increases the chances of buying random rubbish! :rotfl:

Hi all, what a beautiful sunny day here. So hard to believe it is November. We are off to a Nearly New sale in a minute, then visiting my sister so T can play with his cousins.

Tonight OH and I are going round a friends' house for a 'games night' - we shall take a game and a bottle and hopefully have a fun but frugal night!
