    ive merged this with the dinner party thread so others can find all the ideas together in future

    keep the ideas coming! I often make veg curry and pilau rice for me and the mr- thats his favourite meal! At the weekend i made enough for me to have a full m eal on the sunday, and a full meal for him on the sunday so it fed us all weekend.

    He is veggie and has a closed mind to food a lot and just loves curries! grrrr!
    A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men :cool:

    Sirloin Steak
    Dauphinoise Potatoes
    Homemade Peppercorn Sauce
    Spinach
    Stir fried onions, red pepper & Mushrooms

    SO looking forward to it :T:T
    Goal - We want to be mortgages free :j

    Does any one else think it is amazing that sinced the original posting of the original thread that public perception has changed so much. Most foodies would love to be offered a home made pie or meat pudding etc...or some sort of cobbler etc...yet even a ouple of years ago these types of meals would be looked down on. I wonder whether or not it is restaruants trying to produced their meals cheaper that has influenced this.......how often do we see good old basic meals even on the TV now....just a thought.
