which camera?

I've seen these two cameras for £200 both seem excellent spec but I don't really know which one or the other. Any photography experts with advice on the why I should one or the other would be gratefully recieved. The first link is to the Fuji Finepix s7000, the second is linked to the Fuji Finepix E900.

First thing.
Check out the cameras on the following review sites:

Second thing.
Find a shop that sells them both, if you can and hold them and play with them. Sometimes, you hold a camera and instantly decide it doesn't feel right (Too big, too small, too ugly, controls in wrong places for your hands, too slow etc. etc.. You can do all the spec research in the world and find that it's just not right when you test it for real...
For me, I wanted the Sony DSC-H2/H5, but held it in my hands and it felt crap, and the controls felt uncomfortable. The Canon S3iS on the other hand was perfect, so I'll probably buy that instead.
Personally, I'd go for the Canon S2is over the s7000, but it would cost you an extra £20 or so , and it's silver! The E900 seems to be a lot of camera for the money, and the reviewers seems to like it! You'll need a big memory card for those 9 megapixels as you'll only get 3 photos on the supplied card at full resolution.
Happy hunting!0 -
I already posted over here about how much I love my Minolta Z2, although it may seem a little dated for what you're looking for (?) (although seriously, unless you plan to print your own movie sized posters the whole "this camera has 9MP" thing is pretty much gimmicky).
Steves digicams as posted above is one of the best sites on the web for cam reviews, you should definately check it out.
Here is his review of the Z2."If you really want to hurt your parents and you don't have nerve enough to be homosexual, the least you can do is go into the arts."0 -
I have the Fuji s7000 and am very pleased with it. Had it over a year now.Middlers0
