I have been on a dmp for about 6 months now and all seemed to be going OK (apart from having to reduce my payments as we couldnt afford to live) and i have just received a statement from my lloyds credit card & they have been paying themselves money (to make up the shortfall) out of my bank account, so have made our bank account go well into the red, so I am going to get massive charges, my cerdit card on the other hand is fine, obviously they have been topping up the DMP payments from my overdraft so i am not behind on my credit card, even have £500 available balance! (for the record I dont use this account now as it is included in the dmp)
Can anyone help here at all? what can I do???

Do? Get another bank account with someone you don't owe money to and keep it that way.
As for Lloyd's, although they have rights of offset, I think there is a legal point to be made at some point that a creditor should not be able to use rights of offset to increase the amount owed.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I have another account, with nationwide, i opened that before i started on the dmp, I didnt realise lloyds would be able to do this, my overdraft is £600 on lloyds & we were about £300 into our overdraft which was hopefully gonna get paid off on the dmp, we pay lloyds credit card £88 a month on the dmp & they have taken another £85, then another £45 all in the space of a few days. Once we are up to the limit on the overdraft will they still be avble to ofset like this? and make us over our agreed overdraft?Light Bulb Moment feb 2009
